9000万年前,灵长类与啮齿类动物分道扬镳,在进化树上走向了不同的分支。如今,我们却仍然依赖啮齿类动物来模拟和理解人类自身。巨大的物种差异,导致基于小鼠等实验动物所设计和验证的药物,仅有不足一成最终通过临床测试。因此,李颜博士致力于利用通过嵌合人体基因、细胞、组织到免疫缺陷的小鼠模型中,构建新型人源化小鼠,从而跨越物种障碍直接在小鼠中揭示人类疾病发生规律,以及开发相应的治疗手段。
